Please read through the construction details for the Adams clasp before reading the alternative method for constructing an Adams clasp.

The Adams Clasp constructed in 0.7mm S.S wire on a molar tooth.

After marking the undercuts and preparing them to a depth of 1mm using an Ash 9 or similar, the first arrowhead is formed with a straight piece of 0.7mm S.S wire in the usual way and the length of bridge marked as shown.

The second arrowhead may now be formed again using the beaks of the Adams pliers.

The distal tag arm is formed over the interstitial area of the tooth / occlusion and into the palate in the usual method.

The anterior tag arm is formed over the interstitial area of the tooth / occlusion and into the palate in the usual method.
