Two Kesling Set-ups to be carried out for this patient to assess the necessary treatment.
The first kesling set-up is to align 21/- and restore 1/12.
The second kesling set-up is to extract 2/- and align / restore 21/13 and not replace / restore the -/2.
The first Kesling Set-up: -
The study models prior to the first set-up. The anomalies are removed using an Ash 9 or similar.
A small saw is used to section the teeth from the upper model as shown.
A plaster bur may be used to smooth the 21/12 area prior to setting up the teeth.
The sectioned 21/- are positioned / aligned to improve aesthetics.
A prosthetic -/12 are then positioned.
A wax addition to the 1/- is applied to simulate a composite addition and the gingival margins of the -/12 are carved using an Ash 5 or similar.

The Second Kesling Set-up:-
The 21/ 3 are sectioned in the same way as shown previously.
The 2/3 are re aligned to improve aesthetics.
The 1/- is positioned and a wax addition made to simulate a composite addition.
