Upper and lower working models are cast, trimmed and anomalies removed.

The models here have been articulated using a plaster-less articulator.

The undercuts on the lower model are then lightly blocked out and Adams clasps fabricated on 6 / 6 in 0.7mm S.S wire.

The lower model is then replaced on the plaster-less articulator and strips of wax are used to form a 'wall' for spraying the slight 'block' (that is needed for this case) on to the occlusal surface of the teeth.

After soaking for 10 minutes in cold water, the Partial Lower Bite Raising Splint can now be sprayed up using cold cure acrylic resin as shown.

Both blocks are sprayed first, then the lingual of the appliance to cover the Adams clasps. The articulator is then closed, so the upper model engages with the acrylic.

Imprints of the occlusal surfaces of the upper posterior teeth should appear on the acrylic. The Partial Lower Bite Raising Splint is then placed in a hydro flask and cured in accordance to the manufacturer's instructions.

The finished Partial Lower Acrylic Bite Raising Splint, which has been trimmed to the clinician's prescription.
